RO-59 is a bonded PTFE solid film lubricant of unique composition which forms a physico-chemical bond with hard anodised and electroless nickel surfaces which ensures permanence of the film.
Tests have confirmed lower friction and low-slip properties compared with competitive products.
The bonding additive present ensures that it will remain intact for prolonged periods in service and is ideal in sealed-for-life applications.
It is also excellent as a surface film to facilitate the forming of difficult materials such as titanium sheet.
Preparation
The RO-59 concentrate is a dispersion that must be thoroughly mixed by agitation before it is made up. It is then diluted with deionized water and the pH adjusted to the recommended value.
Application
It can be applied by dip or spray, depending on size and geometry.
